[WikiGem] Gemini Protocol
The Gemini Protocol is a file-transfer protocol over tcp port 1965, created by Solderpunk as an incremental improvement over the Gopher Protocol. It features a new hypertext markup format, called GemText, which was influenced by Markdown. In addition, unlike Gopher itemtypes, which are placed in menus, Gemini places mimetypes in response headers. The Gemini protocol also uses TLS for security and client certificates.
