My Gemini projects status
Haven't updated stuff here like I probably should be if I'm serious about this
project. Here's where my projects currently stand.
Germinal
Germinal is updated to support the current standards; main updates were to
support full URLs in requests, and to use the right link format in directory
listings.
I'm working on a branch that supports a TOML config file, rather than having
configuration only on the command line or environment variables. This branch
*should* be working, but there's some library weirdness, and strings that I'm
pulling from the config file aren't accepted as strings by other libraries I'm
using like strings from the environment, command-line, or Lisp code are.
Once I have that worked out, the existence of the config file will let me
support a few more things, like virtual hosts, gopher proxying, and redirects.
Mailing List
I'm not actually running the Gemini mailing list, but I am the admin. You can
most easily subscribe by going to the Mailman info web page[1].
Voskhod
I am working on a graphical Gemini client for Gnome called Voskhod. It's in
early stages, a little more than a mock-up right now. My intention is to support
Markdown as well as Gemini maps, probably also gopher, and *possibly* deliver
text-only versions of web pages ala Firefox Reader Mode.
