Alhena Now With Audio And Video
With a little help from VLC and the vlcj project, Alhena can play embedded audio and video. This means you need VLC 3.x on your system. For me, it worked "out of the box" on Windows, MacOS (when compiling Alhena from source) and Pi 5. The VLC snap install on Ubuntu and the Alhena MacOS installs required a config file to tell vlcj where to find VLC. Info on how to do that is in the README.md on Alhena's GitHub page. You should read it if you want to activate this feature.
I uploaded a few videos to my capsule (link below).
That's about it. Pretty much everything VLC can play should play in Alhena. Give it a try. There have been a lot of enhancements and fixes since the last announcement.

I got it to work on a 2005 laptop running 32-bit Linux. Surprisingly, I could apt-get a 32-bit VLC. Uh, most video skips but the audio is good. I'm actually amazed it works as well as it does on 20 year old hardware.
