There is IDEC protocol on the internet. Feels like the old FIDO minimalistic reinvention. But all nodes are russian. You can check out protocol: => https://github.com/idec-net/new-docs/blob/master/protocol-en.md

13 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be. 14 Art thou bound unto a wife? Seek not to be loosed. Art thou loosed from a wife? SEEK NOT A WIFE. 15 But and if thou marry, thou hast not sinned; and if a virgin marry, she hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh: but I spare you. 16 But this I say, brethren, the time is short: it remaineth, that both they that have wives be as though they had none; 17 And they that weep, as though they wept not; and they that rejoice, as though they rejoiced not; and they that buy, as though they possessed not; 18 And they that use

Teletext appreciation thread! I think teletext is a great technology, comparable with Gemini in some ways, and it's nice that it's still around in most of europe! What i like about it: * privacy-respecting: no data is sent as you browse it * light-weight: it's just text! * you can receive it in remote locations

Aaaand... fixed! It was the missing session id context

Re client certs and usernames -- a nice convention in geminispace could be that if you claim in a forum like this to be e.g. foo@tilde.black, then your client certificate has to be signed by the certificate served by tilde.black, with Common Name "foo". Could this work?

well, there's a difference between tracking an user without their knowledge and letting them have the power to authenticate themselves

Man, I wish the whole Gemini thing would go not for 80s but for something like 2004 instead. Well I guess the amount of complexity could only be implemented by a person so old that his good old days were in the 80s.

A slightly better way of providing input would have been great. IMHO that's the only bit that falls short with Gemini.

looking forward to seeing the source -- I was just thinking about writing a dynamic gemini server in haskell!
