Us the geminauts, outcasts

Reading the teenage thoughts, posted by Bavarianbarbarin made me think.

Station Post

Although those thoughts were from a time and space, around when I was born, by a highschooler, it didn't make them resonate less.

Gen X and Millenials

I think we vibe for a reason, the reason being that we had parents or well just adults in our lives that treated us similarly.

The idea of child rearing (not raising), is seen, not heard. We were left to ourselves a lot and when we weren't, it was usually to be yelled at or paraded around for whatever function.

I am pretty much describing the thoughts/poem, so maybe just go read that instead.

Being an outcast

A lot of geminauts are probably regarded as outcast, but like the text said, we were always treated like it...

I think we are all okay at this point, with the label "they" want to attribute us. We've taken a lot of flack and shit over the years, for dealing with crap the previous generations caused, while ignoring us, seen not heard.

Avocado toast

Pretty sure we have all heard how cutting out the said delicacy, coffee or netflix would somehow improve our situation.

The irony here being that they quite literally handed us a world on fire, and at least two of the previous insulgences should be easier to prepare.

Stopping the decay

We often get shit on for our attitude towards the planets rapid demise, like we are somehow the sole responsible for fixing it... While holding no financial or political power to change any of it, because fat old rich people refuse to die or to leave office.

Like the text said, they went to war on us and expect this to end peacefully. They wholeheartedly expect capitalism and "democracy" to survive unscathed and for the planet to miraculously be restored.

The bit about me

My lungs are on fire from all the coughing, but at least the moving nightmare is over with.

Now there is only 3 things left on my todo list before I can rest and I am sure that list will grow before then...
