Too busy to curate my SBCs so they are in storage and i've spun up useful debians in UTM on a apple silicone mini - compiled lagrange in less than 40 secs and won't brick the SD card at some random time:-)

so 2 x 400w pv panels connected eventually - cloudy, no visible sun, raining of course: generating 60 to100w :-) frame still alpha stage, of course.

my wee cabin running on battery power only:-) Chg contrl connectced to 24V 400ah battery bank connected to 3000W inverter then extension lead to cabin - drawing 55watts lol hopfully tomorrow I'll get the PV panels connected to Chg contrl?

flashback to BeOS days: just cloned rpi sd to emmc and put in a rpi4-4GB - up and ran. eeprom needed update obviously but apart from that cloned:_)

Been backpacking/lightweight hiking camping for the first time in my life - i am very unimpressed with uk 3/4/G coverage: AONB = AOPR (area of outstandingly poor reception). absence of village shops/pubs complicated water/food resupply - i now have a water filter.

talking is good - tks to figbert i found iina and that got me thinking about mpv - both understand shuffle, and do what they say on the tin. Fixed Linux box -> Ruark MR1Mk2 by reducing output to -6db. grinning!
