Hey all, anyone doing Space Opera September here? The formal announcement videos drop 8/30 but the prompts have been dropped in SFF180's community tab on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/@SFF180/community). Its a readathon (books/graphic novels, etc) centered on space opera. There is a discord channel and a storygraph challenge (https://app.thestorygraph.com/reading_challenges/a177e802-4d68-4963-ac1c-2e1d05d7178c). ๐Ÿš€

Looks like a ton of fun! I definitely recommend checking out one of Arkady Martine's books, I saw one included on one of the storygraphs. I'd aim to read some titles that are new to me if I tried this though! Definitely a genre that I enjoy. :)

I've been sitting on her duology, everyone on the book-ternet has been talking it up.

Sadly I'm late to the game but the past decade I've been slowly working my way through the Peter F Hamilton Commonwealth universe and I've finally caught up. Was never into or really knew Space Operas were a thing until I found Pandora's Star.
