Update
I'll be posting an update to Farkle today with two requested features: die-value selection input (vs position), and enable/disable of the logo and points table to assist smaller screens. If nothing breaks this should be up today...

Okay, game is updated. Let me know of any bugs you spot. I had to squash one already.

Thank you!
I didn't even think about the logo, but even after playing for months I sometimes get startled -- did I just farkle?

@stack haha. Settings won't persist across days though. slight inconvenience

LOL, I got a few rounds into Farkle after playing Fill before I realised I'd been using the face value rather than die position for selections.

Great work @gritty. This is much smoother to play without the indirect positional numbering of the dice. Thanks for the logo hiding option, too!

thanks all. glad it's working out well

Yeah I have a bug to report. I keep getting crap dice. ๐คฃ

Tiny UI improvement ideas:
If the user does not check the logo or table boxes, autocheck them after a couple of rolls. Explicitly setting or resetting them at any point of course overrides auto.
accepting qwerty as 123456 would save me an extra mode switch every time I choose to keep the dice, with my phone kbd which has no numerics initially.

@stack I'd thought about qwerty.
for the check boxes, do you mean hide by default, then show after a few rolls or the opposite?

I'd also considered "as" for all scoring dice available, but not necessarily for a fill. but maybe I can just retool "a" to do that
however, that may give people a leg up if they missed something like a straight. so maybe I'll skip that.

No, my thinking is:
- Always keep the checkboxes on the bottom;
- Start by showing the logo and the score table;
- After the first or second round, hide them;
- If the user clicks any checkboxes, selection stays for the duration of the game, or until changed
I think removing the logo and the table after a round or two gives enough time to see where you are, and gives newbies a chance to look at the score table, with the option of bringing it back if they need it. In the meantime, the daily players will have a smoother interaction.
