Been spending some free time putting Windows 11 on my 12 year old desktop (I know). It's amazing how much Microsoft is trying to kill off old hardware for no reason. Had to use Rufus to bypass the hardware check. I got a new SSD, and 8 gig ram on a fresh install and it runs just fine for my needs. Forced obsolescence. reinstalling apps and WSL has actually been enjoyable if I'm being honest.

Just played Diablo 1 multiplayer for the first time in like 20+ years. The other two players I think were seeing how far in hardcore mode they could get. Devilutionx is a neat project.

@stack it seems CL is the one to learn but I don't want to "waste" time learning that when I can't use it here for CGI. been reading up on Janet unsure it's a good intro to Lisp. what do you think?

New Game: Fill! (BETA) I've implemented a card and dice game called Fill! that is closely related to Farkle! I'm looking for feedback and any identified bugs. I posted about this a while ago on station, but I wish Buran wasn't seemingly abandoned early last year. don't get me wrong, I love Lagrange, but I like trying new apps for this space. rosy crow was coming along really well here too and I still use it from time to time. If I could ever get the certs to work in Buran, I'd have kept it on my phone. interestingly, Buran is the name of the only Soviet space shuttle, according to wiki. makes me wonder where the author hails from.

Farkle - Monthly Tournament Standings — At @skyjake's suggestion, I've implemented a "tournament" style ranking system for Farkle. At the end of each day, the top 3 finishers will get points towards their monthly total: 1st: 5 points 2nd: 3 points 3rd: 1 point After the last game of the month the results will be archived in the log and the monthly standings will be reset. Farkle — I created the game Farkle for Gemini. Instead of playing against one another, you get 10 rounds to score as high as you can and rank on a leaderboard for the day. I still need to fix my cron job to reset the game every day, but it should be rather functional. bug identification or suggestions welcomed.
