Recently tested the minimalistic, radio-first oriented Reticulum network with its NomadNet/LXMF implementation, but I still don't understand how to host a Gemini capsule there e.g. when the global network is down. It seems I need to convert everything to Micron. It's frustrating!

FTP as the social network? multi-user or just anonymous mode multi-format: read/write as you wish encrypted or plain connections, etc

Is anyone here from Iran or know any first-person bloggers to follow?

I found that the Gopher protocol supports non-canonical HTML types: [https link]) It's interesting; does it also support CSS, JavaScript, and other modern technologies by the way? Additionally, I can't find any browser (except Lagrange) to test the native behavior of this protocol. Could anyone recommend something for Linux?

Finally, I have moved my web deals to the Chromium and now ready to apply a paranoid privacy configuration for my primary browser, Firefox. This is not my first attempt; I know it may be impossible, but anyway, I would like to ask: does anyone have an about:config template? There are many options, and I want to disable everything, from JavaScript to unnecessary HTTP headers and external content pre-loading. It should be closer to Gemini but with HTML/CSS support. P.S. The proxy is not an...

I recently made this experimental PR to the Snac and finally think I miss Gemini. Imho, the ActivityPub protocol is definitively not designed for privacy. [https link]

This isn't the first year I plan to fundamentally try the Gopher protocol (for blogging). However, every time I read the documentation, I definitely don't understand what's going on. Maybe I'm too young, but the Nex protocol looks better to me. What do you think about Gopher? I'm interested in the opinions of people who have really used it for a long time (e.g., older users)

I hope to play online Half-Life on Xash3D today, as I have been busy writing the book all week. I miss this game and want to have some fun with guns, not words, again.

The fact is that, given the choice to write a preprocessor in Rust or Python for the mdBook builder, I chose Python, even though I don't like it. Why? Because it's simpler to learn Python than open another window to build.

Paradoxically, the abandoned web UI still works for the 10-year-old twister app, but I can't say the same about other, for example, Glib apps. What’s even more paradoxical is that the web app is safe when accessed via localhost. In fact, HTML and JavaScript make for ideal technologies for local usage! Sometimes, I feel dissonance because of that :)

If evolution exists with the goal of survival, why does it still produce only mortal organisms? Perhaps they could be dangerous to themselves by reaching a perfect mind, through accumulated experiences; or evolution is simply an incomplete theory, and this life is a some kind of matrix, where players leave the game after their subscription ends, thereby freeing up a slot for others.

How to send all humans to Mars? Some believe that they may have originated from there, as this planet appears to be native.

In your opinion, why are people still not using Bitcoin as a payment method and instead relying entirely on banks? Is it really much harder than having cash in hand, or do people perceive paper as a more stable form of ownership, even if that is an illusion? Sometimes, I think that people have been successfully conditioned to be uninformed. Everyone who steps outside the mainstream tends to fail. I still can't break this dependency, as it is related to an environment I am unable to change. I'...

What is good about torrents - I can select the info hash from the oldest one, as it contains fewer worms.

I thought that by using Invidious applications, we are just monetizing another ad providers instead of the content authors.

I've come to hate having hair on my face, and I'm tired of trimming this beard all the time since it keeps growing back.

I believe that every new computing protocol should come with official libraries, in different programming languages, to prevent human interpretation errors. Only machines can validate the logical errors, and official libraries make this possible. Where community will be focused on single target to test and contribute.

Did you even think that every page loaded is a new copy of bytes and never the original :)

Life is anomaly Breaking all the canons of chaos, like a rabies virus that moves an animal, it generates its own kind. If life has a creator, then he is a revolutionary, an experimenter, or an outcast of the system of primordial tranquility.

After the Great escape from Web browser, I was surprised to find a lot of useful modern apps for the GTK ecosystem, as if someone had made an investment there: Newsflash - an RSS reader that can replace Firefox in 99% of text reading cases Dialect - a simple translation UI for different API providers, including my favorite, Lingva Translate PikaBackup and DejaDup - automatic backups Gaphor - UML diagram builder etc., etc. latest original GNOME looks pretty comfort also (but the desktop...
